主題

本屆論壇的主題為“亞太地區(qū)翻譯的未來”，意在展示亞太地區(qū)發(fā)生的種種變化。

更名

鑒于論壇參與人員職業(yè)的多樣性，且論壇所涉內(nèi)容不僅限于亞洲的翻譯事業(yè)發(fā)展（還包括太平洋地區(qū)），今年主辦方將論壇名稱由原來的“亞洲翻譯家論壇”（ATF） 調(diào)整為“亞太翻譯論壇”（APTIF）。此舉也反映了翻譯事業(yè)的全球化發(fā)展進(jìn)程，以及翻譯與國際政治關(guān)系、貿(mào)易、文化交流、商業(yè)之間的緊密聯(lián)系。

論壇主辦方

今年的亞太翻譯論壇由國際翻譯家聯(lián)盟（FIT）、中國翻譯協(xié)會（TAC）聯(lián)合主辦，由西安外國語大學(xué)（XISU）承辦。

論壇歷史

本論壇首創(chuàng)于1995年，已先后成功舉辦過七次，其中有四次在中國，另外三次分別在韓國、印度尼西亞和馬來西亞。 

本論壇的成立旨在展現(xiàn)更大范圍內(nèi)亞洲地區(qū)翻譯行業(yè)的發(fā)展，讓翻譯專家學(xué)者、行業(yè)先鋒以及其他相關(guān)各方交流分享區(qū)域翻譯行業(yè)的發(fā)展現(xiàn)狀。論壇目的旨在提升亞洲地區(qū)翻譯行業(yè)的國際形象，展示其振奮人心的發(fā)展，同時為與會人員提供與國際知名學(xué)者、專業(yè)從業(yè)者面對面交流的機(jī)會。

Eighth Asia-Pacific Translation and Interpreting Forum (APTIF)

Welcome to join us at the Eighth Asia-Pacific Translation and Interpreting Forum (APTIF8) to be held in Xi’an, China on June 17-18, 2016. Starting from 2015, the name of the forum is changed from the "Asian Translators Forum (ATF)" to the "Asia-Pacific Translation and Interpreting Forum (APTIF)". Here, you will find all the information you need, whether you are planning to present at this international forum, or whether you are a prospective attendee interested in gaining an overview of new development in the translation and interpreting industry in the Asia-Pacific Region.

Theme

The theme of this year's conference is "Translation and Interpreting in Tomorrow's Asia-Pacific Region", representing the diverse changes taking place in the Asia-Pacific region.

Name change

This year, we have changed the name of the forum from the "Asian Translators Forum (ATF)" to the "Asia-Pacific Translation and Interpreting Forum (APTIF)". The reason for this is to reflect the diversity of the Forum's presenters and attendees, and its expanding focus on translation and interpreting not just within Asia, but also around the Pacific Rim. It also reflects the increasingly global nature of translation and interpreting and their close relationship with international political relations, trade, cultural exchange, and business.

Conference organisers

The Eighth APTIF is co-hosted by Translators Association of China (TAC) and the International Federation of Translators (FIT), and organized by Xi'an International Studies University (XISU).

Forum history

Since the founding of the Forum in 1995, it has been held seven times—four times in China, and once each in South Korea, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

The Forum was founded to showcase translation and interpreting developments in the wider Asian region, and to allow translation and interpreting scholars, professionals, industry leaders, and other interested parties to meet and share developments in the regional translation and interpreting industry. By doing this, the Forum aims to raise the profile of translation and interpreting in the Asia Pacific region, and to showcase exciting changes that are taking place here, as well as providing an opportunity for attendees to meet with internationally-renowned scholars and professional practitioners in the field.
